i do a lot of my shopping online. for a number of reasons i started shopping online when my hubby was in iraq and it was holiday time. i don't normally leave my kids with anyone but their dad so shopping online was great. a box would come and they had no idea what was in it i just said it was their aunts box. another reason is i do save money. i live way out in the country so by the time we pay for gas there and back it was cheaper to have it sent. and i don't know about you but i know if i go to the store for 3 things i end up leaving with 10. and again we don't leave our kids with sitters so its easier to shop online then take 3 young boys to the store. i look for bagins the best place i found for clothes for the kids was oldnavy.com the always have good deals.

Thanks for the advice. I am still an e-bay fan, but you've got to be careful there too. I find some people give a low price on e-bay, but then they charge ridiculous shipping prices. I once bought a rug for $50 and they wanted to ship it for $300 dollars! How ridiculous.

It really depends on what you are shopping for. You really have to do some serious leg work to find the best deals. Even if that means going from website to website and store to store and sit down and work out all the numbers to get the better deals. There are times that you will find it IS cheapier to buy online and then times it is not.

Yeah...that is the trick to it, isn't it. It takes time to shop, even on-line, if you want to save money.

Hi,im starting to find for me it doesn't save me money,it's rare it does due to the exchange in money and the shipping cost.I just bought a game for my daughters game boy.It cost 15.00 plus the shipping to come here in canada was 6.99 =$21.99.I just found out that wal-mart here in the closest town sells them, hahaha, and i thought they were discontinued that's why i bought it online.Duh me!I did buy a raggedy ann primitive doll at e-bay.I closed the deal at 7.00 and paid 10.00 for shipping. Now that was a great deal!!Hand made from the heart. It really depends what you pay for the cost and whats more important is the shipping expense to where you live.So for me,games electronics is better in the stores, crafts etc is better online, hehe. I really like target.com and e-bay. But you are right about the shipping stuff... it can kill ya. I notice that those who live close to the border in Niagara Falls have post office boxes to have their items shipped within either Canada or the US...they they just go pick them up.
