Importance of the stars and ratings

I have heard about how you get a star here when you reach the 100 mark. But how important is it to the mylot users. Does it get you more money? Do people respect you more here if you have good rating? Do you treat users according to their rating?

my star is very important to me, i have yet to reach a number 10. i don't believe it gets you more money, so a little incentive to post. i don't judge peole or treat them any differently according to stars.
its just for person use.

I dont think that it will give you much money. I believe it is just to let you know how other see and rate your response. The higher the number of star the better you are in other mylot user.
I believe when you got a good number of star, you will feel more confident with your response. You can feel that people here learns from you and from your response.
It feels good.
