Different states

The process of making music is completely different from listening to it: as strange as it may seem, as you play, your perception of the piece is different. Often, if you record the performance and listen to it afterwards, it doesn't sound the same to you as when you were playing it. The closer I may compare it to is painting an image and then step back to look at it. Does anybody understand what I mean? PS: I play drums
