Aren't Sundays Great...

I think they are. It was so nice and relaxing today. After getting all the cleaning and laundry done yesterday, I was left with free time. I got to read a few magazine, watch a movie and be here on Mylot. Now as the day ends I'm completely relaxed and ready for the week to come. What do you do on Sundays if you have free time? Do you like a little bit of "me" time or do you usually like to go out with others for fun?

Usually I enjoy Sundays but my hubby is being a crab. I did get some me time today and since he went to bed early I have all tonight to myself as well. I may sit down and knit as soon as the laundry is out of the dryer, which should be soon. I have already had Starbucks today....thinking about going to get another cup though.

I love to sit and do my xcross-stitch when work is finished too. But lately my eyes have gotten so bad that it's almost impossible for me to do that. Guess it's time for an eye exam and new glasses.

Sounds like it. My grandmother use to have one of those magnifying glasses on a stand that she would use to cross stitch.

It's like that for me once in a while but not very often. Do you have any hobbies that you like to do? If you don't have time for them during the week maybe you could set aside Sundays as a kind of special time to just do what you like to do for enjoyment.

Sundays are nice and relaxing for us. Sometimes we have things planned and other times its just relaxing at home and hanging out. Today however we decided (my son and I as hubby is away) to catch the bus to the Mall and hang out at the lego store, lunch at McDs', and play time in the kids area. My son really enjoyed it and I got to have a latte from Starbucks (a treat for me)

Going to a Leggo store sounds like a blast. If I went there with my daughter she would probably have a hard time getting me to leave. LOL!

My mother in law has Sundays off and takes my kids sometimes today was one of them so I went grocery shopping and bought my son a new pair of shoes and got their Easter baskets and came home and relaxed in the peace and quiet until they came home.

I'm glad that you mentioned Easter baskets, I forgot that Easter is actually early this year and I like to get them before everything is picked over at the store.

Sunday was great. For the first time in a very long time I made a big dinner for my extended family after we came back from church. It reminded me of the time when I was a kid and that was what we did every Sunday and it also brought back to me the memory of how all our families spent the day together and how quiet everything was. By that I mean if you weren't visiting your relatives or friends you stayed home, nothing was open except maybe a neighborhood store. There were very few cars on the roads and everyone just sat back and relaxed. We just don't seem to have time for that anymore.

I agree that it's hard to find time as a family together, I miss that too.

I usually have to work on Sunday so it doesn't matter to me if it is Sunday or not. I do like to go to the park and have a picnic on the Sundays in the summer that I don't have to work.

It was pretty nice here also. I think it got up to like 46 and we enjoyed it. Today it's right back to the old winter snow and cold. I can't wait for spring.
