Older Women, Younger Men

How does everyone feel about older women dating younger men? And I'm not talking about 80 year old rich women dating 20 year old guys.
I'm dating & completely in love with a guy that's 6 years younger then me. I'm 26 & he's 20. It didn't start out like that, it just happened. We were hanging out (he lived down the street from me) and we got close. When he left for bootcamp (he's a marine Ooh-Rah!) he wrote me a letter saying how he really felt. When he came home we talked....and became official.
I'd like to know how everyone feels on this subject or the other way around too.

Women stay longer younger. It's better when the husband is younger.

I don't see anything wrong with this. You are both adults capable of making your own decisions. Besides, many years down the road, you'll be glad he's younger. On average men die younger than women do. If your man is younger than you are, the odds have it that you'll have more years together.

Thanks. I never really thought about the age when people die, especially that he's a Marine & can go overseas at any moment. His friend is actually leaving in January.
As long as we love eachother nothing else matters.

I say if you love a person who cares how old they are (as long as they're legal)? And as my husband just pointed out you're lucky enough to have a small enough age gap that unless you tell them most people will never know. Either way do what makes you two happy. :)

I completely agree! Especially about the legal part. Which response was from your husband?
A lot of people were against it in the beginning. But we proved everyone wrong! And we've never been this happy before in our entire lives!!!

No problem with that we have the same situation my wife is 6yrs older than me and thers no problem on it we stayfor about 5yrs before getting our wedding vows and now we are turning on our 2nd wedding aniversarry next year :)

Before I had gotten into this relationship I was always attracted to older guys. Frankie just caught me by surprise. I didn't realize I had fallen for him until a girl I worked with said it to me. We started out as friends & it just went from there.

I don't think there is a problem with it. Once you hit 30 age is really only a number. The only problem you have to look for is maturity issues. You wouldn't want to end up taking the place of his mother, but if he's mature enough to take care of himself and his family, is hard working and honest then I personally don't see a problem with it.

I agree. And I'm definitely not taking the place of his mother! LOL He's matured a lot & isn't like anyone else I've ever meet, which is one of the many reason why I fell in love with him!

I think the Marines helps out when dating a younger guy. They mature much faster. Where are you & your husband stationed?

im 23 and my husband is 21 so i married a younger man. he is very mature for his age. although like all men he has is days.it hasnt been i problem for us.

I think it wonderful if you two are happy go for it! I to am dating and living with a youger man he's 20 I'm 38 we are very happy together its crazy but we are. I have two kids that love him my family also love him and thats what matters to me as long as my kids are fine with it so am I. We been going on 3yr know. So be happy and good luck!
