Do you believe in Karma? Is there even such a thing?? Is it a waste of time being nice to someone or going out of your way when you get nothing in return? I was raised in a family that is polite...opens doors, smile at strangers...etc..and I guess now, it just comes natural (not saying I'm the greatest person or anything, but you get my drift) and...someone close to me is completely the opposite. Wont do anything for anyone bc he believes you should only think about yourself..(drives me insane!) What do you think? What are your opinions?

I believe on it in a way that: you will be treated that way you treat people and it will always goes back to you on how you are to others! like the golden rule:"do unto to others as you want others do unto to you"

I believe you get out of life what you put into life. If you put pain, suffering, bad feelings in, then that is what you will reep. I don't believe in organized religion (as opposed to unorganized lol), so I therefore go with what feels right to me. Leaving my fate in a higher power makes me uncomfortable, while living my life with the best intentions makes me feel good and lets me sleep at night. Can you call this Karma? If you do, it does not make me uncomfortable, I think 'Pay if Forward' is a wonderful way to live no matter what you call it.

I think it is very sad that your friend is that way, although it takes all kinds to make a world and we can appreciate those like you and I a little more when we do know ppl like your friend :)
