i pod for listening to audio books

Does anybody use their i pod to listen to books? I want to do this and I need advice. what kind is best for this purpose? Where is the best place to look for one? Is there an i pod that has a date book in it too? I need one that does not shuffle, but lets you pick what you want to listen to. any ideas out there?

I tried it once before and I felt asleep whenever I listen to them and thus, I discontinue it. I can't remember how I did and where I got them. Sorry, perhaps other will be of better help than I.

Ok. Here is the answer: I tried an ipod shuffle and the book worked on it . The problem was, I couldn't look at a screen to see where i left off. I listened to the same parts of the book several times.So, I got a Zen Stone. It has a little screen and I can set it on whatever I want. This is a better arrangement. I must confess , though, that like you ,I tend to fall asleep and lose big chunks of the book. I think reading is better.
