Web mostly for fun....interactively?

I am still new to this lot site.....but I have real problem about lack of academical or practical business discussions on the site. Am I on the wrong sites?....or is it that users of interactive web sites such as this, lacks the concern or thoughts about scholarly and business understanding of the the world.....Or are users of such a site, prefer structured sites (formal site) for such discussions? Or....are they lack of professionals surfing/using this site? What say you?....
