This is age old proverb. May or may not be applicable in modern times. A person who keeps changing his jobs, or place of work may not prosper. He is like a moving stone which gather no mass. What is your experience? By sticking on to one job, you were able to comeup in life? By changing jobs, (in search of greener pastures) you are able to be a successful person?

i think it depends on which angle you look at it...it's true that when you job hopped, there's no stability in career...and i have to admit that i'm exactly like that..i job hopped so much (being in sales line) and i never regret my action. i was exposed to so many different industries and peoples and that i could job hopped from one position to a better one...i started from being a mere waitress till the last position i hold was a branch manager...so it may not necessarily be bad :D

I contributes my times for been works for others for about eleven years before I came up with my own small business. I works for three big difference sector companies for that eleven years and was happy and learns a lots with all of them...personally I don't think its a good ideas to keep on changing jobs unless you have a very good reasons to doing so..I think as a worker the royalty and the performances to the companies was the main concern as well as the responsibilities and by the times goes by you will rewards with what you deserved.
