How many people raise live fish food for their tropical or gold fish? / myLot

I am raising daphnia as well as 3 kinds of earthworms for my tropical fish. What kind(s) do you raise and do you think that it is better food than prepared food for the fish?

I use to grow shrimp for this purpose, but not anymore. My daughter started naming them, so they could no longer be dinner. Her Swordtails love shrimp live and it gives them a nice shine. The rest of our fish won't touch shrimp. They are afraid of them.

gee I have never heard of anyone raising their own fish food, you must be a very keen fish owner, I had gold fis at one stage and just one container of fish food seem to last forever, infact the fish food out lasted the fish.
