Do you notice a drop in your mylot friends activity on the weekends ?

I do notice that things seem to slow down quite a bit on the weekends, and I've only been back here for just over a month. The GOOD thing about that, is that I find I can get to finding more discussions from people who aren't on my friends lists, and perhaps make some new friends. I rarely go out anywhere on the weekend. A few weeks ago, I took the boys out to a movie (The Spiderwick Chronicles), and upon returning, I started a discussion on the movie. The week before that, I had the twins' 7th birthday party, and had a couple of discussions going asking for advice on games and crafts. Hahhaha... so even if I do something on the weekends, I make sure I incorporate Mylot into it, and vice versa. :)

Well if it wasn't for the storm we are in today, I would be at this Messianic church. So instead I am doing mylot, (getting ready to start a couple of discussions), and will be baking cookies later on today..:)

Yeah I notice a drop is activity.. on weekends... On mylot.. and sites like Yuwie.. also drop in activity.. I think it's cause most of them go out in teh real world and have fun etc. But yeah I also like to go out once in a while.. But I am mostly always working hard here at home.. even on weekends.

Yes Sunshine, I do think that over the weekends there is not as much participation. I know for me its hard to spend much time in mylot as I generally have a houseful of company of one sort or another. My husband works all week, and the week end time belongs to him. We end up doing many things together even if it is just laying across the bed and watching TV. At least we are side by side. This week I have not been able to get here a single day. Shesh we have had dental, doctor and other appointments. My husband had a small accident out side and had to have stitches to his chin... (LMAO he is a klutz too). Crazy siege at work with viral clean ups. And the grand children have been here almost every evening... WAAAAAAAAAAA calgon take me away!

I try to mylot at weekends but it isn't always possible! What with the kids off school and things - they do need a LITTLE bit of attention after all! lol, Add to that the fact that Daddy has been working every day for weeks and I really don't get much of a chance lately! xxx

I have noticed that my friends aren't around as much lately, weekend or not. I have been busy with school, kids, and my honey so I haven't either. I was actually just sitting around right now thinking about how much I missed them. :( Hopefully they will pop up soon. Anyway, I do the same thing- play catch up on the weekend. But most people go out and do the errands and go out Saturday nights. I usually stay home unless there is something good going on around town and this weekend there doesn't seem to be anything happening. Oh well, I guess I can just relax!

I think alot of ppl post from work or school....so weekends they arent at home with access OR they are wiht family etc etc like you mentioned...Plus you have to remember too that since the site is worldwide the timing is different (as in clock time I mean and seasonal too come to think of it)...that has to be a factor too..

I've noticed this, Sissy. I do have other things to do at the weekends, like visiting my son and his family on Sundays, and a bit of shopping on Saturdays, but still, I find I run out of discussions to respond to because the activity rate seems to drop greatly. Brightest Blessings.

I have been with the grandkids all weekend and so I try to answer all my friends discussion and mylot digest I do not really go anywhere but if I sat and lokk at the computor all day I will have a sore butt and all I will see is the keyborad in my mind when I get off of the comp lol

I do mylot whenever I have time. During weekdays but also in the weekend, normally I do it when my children are a sleep.Don't really notice about the activities of the other mylotter here.

I do a little every day - some days a bit more, but put in an hour each day at least. I admit I could sit here for hours! But my house and other things would suffer! I wish I could find something to do to earn some money online - I could just sit here all day and enjoy it! Something about typing and just "doing" that nevers seems to let me down! I did however, not even turn the PC on one day last week, did so much stuff, never missed the PC or even nagged myself to turn it on! Got so much done, got ahead of myself and now have some "Free" time to spend again!

I never have a problem with running out of discussions to respond to. I work in mylot on every day of the week and so do most of my friends. Maybe you need to add more friends to your list. I am always behing by about 3 weeks on my email notifications so I am always trying to catch up. Every day that I open my emails the first thing I do is read the responses to my discussions and try to comment on them and then I go to the oldest discussion and work my way up. I never seem to catch up though because there are always more added. I really don't mind being behind though because that way any that are deleted I know right then and I don't waste any time responding to them. And a lot of them are deleted.

i work mylot during working days but on weekend sometimes i don't because i left my home early in the morning for some friends or family gatherings...but if i have no appointment during weekend...i spent most of my time in mylot...

Well I would be one of those missing in action peop-le,I work Friday 10:30 am to 9:30 pm every other week. Then every single Saturday I work 10am to 11 pm. Then back up Sun, 11 to 5. My weekends are all about work, work, work.But usualy on Sunday I finaly get a chance to do a few posts.

Im guilty of not being here but mostly on Sundays. That my day to run around like shopping and seeing family. And now that the weather is getting nicer I will be spending more time outside. I hope anyway.LOL But I have noticed that too.

I notice a drop in activity on the boards entirely. I mean on weekends, people have time off, they can go shopping and visit people. During the week there isn't a lot of time to do that sort of thing.

I notice a slight infrequency in postings from my friends, but many of them manage to find some time to get on at the weekend. But I guess the for many of us that are active in the week; the weekend is a time to do other stuff with our families or visit places. It's probably a good thing to have a break. Some of us (me) are pretty obsessive abut myLot and spend far too much time here.

Now that I have my own laptop, I can mylot a bit more on the weekends. But, I notice certain people are here on the weekends more than during the week, and vice versa.
