Home Remidies or Store Bought Product?

When you feel a sore throat coming on do you reach for the salt and a glass of water to gargle, or do you run to the store and buy something? When you have a small cut that is getting infected do you use a home remedy or go ge antibotic onitment? Have home remedy's Please share.

Whenever I get a could or sore throat, I tend to buy store bought products, Home remedies are rarely as effective for me for some reason.
