It seems like one of the first biggest parenting decisions is often made before the baby has even arrived, what to name the baby? Parents hope to give their child a moniker that is distinctive, special, and will help lead to their child's success and happiness in life. Despite all of the planning that goes into picking out the perfect name, as many as 3% of parents polled by Baby Center said that they regret the names they chose and would change it if they could. Common reasons for this regret included: 1. The name has become too popular 2. The name gets mispronounced. 3. The name just doesn't fit the child Do you ever regret giving your child (or children) the name you gave them?

I don't regret the names I picked, I have two boys, and with my oldest, we tried to be clever by adding an "H" to the end, his name is Dakotah Storme, but people sometimes see it and assume it's a girl's name because of the H... My youngest is named Jeremy Shane. I wouldn't change their names though, they seem to suit them perfectly!

I have four children. The oldest is going to be eleven this September and the youngest will be two in May. I have two boys and two girls. I love each and every one of their names. I can't imagine them being named anything else. The only problem we have run into is with our 9 year old son's name. His name is Griffen with and E and not an I. People always spell it Griffin. I have the feeling we will have some unusual spellings for Millanah (the baby) when she is older as well. We call her Mimi a lot, so that is easier for people to spell.

I don't regret the names I picked out for my children. What does get my goat is the fact that so many people either mispronounce the names (even the simple ones) and misspell them. I have corrected I don't know how many people on the spelling of 2 of my children's names over and over and they still to this day misspell them. It drives me nuts.

I love the name I gave my child. Haylie Mae. I wanted something different(with spelling) and not yet popular. So I decided to spell it Haylie and gave her my middle name for a good sound. However I hear a lot of Haylies these days. Probably due to Eminem since thats where I got the idea from as well. lol
