As you can see I'm new to this site but I already love it here. I've been reading a lot of the posts trying to understand how it all works but I'm still a bit confussed. 1: Am I supposed to ask people to be my friends? I really don't feel comfortable doing that. And do the number of friends you have bring up your rating? 2: What are the stars above some peoples nics mean and how do you earn them? 3: Is there somewhere on the site you can direct me to so I can learn more of what this site is all about? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, even I'm new to the MyLot, I like MyLot because of its: 1. Clarity. 2. Easy navigation. 3. Quality responses. As far as I know, spend time to read articles that interest you and post your comments. Make sure that you are posting a quality reply that is useful to the readers. If you do this, the people who are attracted by your reply would want to make you as their friends. This way, you can make friends. Cheers!

Hi Judith, i like how you ask others about this. I also just a new in this myLot and i start to like to use it. Then firstly i like say that i'm not expert but i try to give answer what i know. Then if i wrong what to do. 1. That is you need to do, people also will add or ask you to be your friends. If you dont comfortable just wait. People will aslo request to you. I dont know about rating, maybe it will effect something. 2. About the star, i like it. You can get star if you active in build and respond other discussion. You can get star when you reach some point. Than this show your rank aslo. 3. You can ask crush about this. He know everthing and also you can try to read at the help menu. Hope i can answer you. Then if i wrong let me know.

it depends on your if you want to send them a request to be added your fiends list. what i did if i feel that the person is capable and deserving to be my friend so i send him/her a request...sometimes i don't mind as long as i am interested to his/her post i added his/her to be my friend...3 weeks ago when i am also new to the site wonder what the program of this site is all about but later on you will find many answers to you question...the most important of all is that you must be active and be participative on the discussion being posted...the star beside your user name indicates you rank and ratings, this shows your activities while staying here...if you reached 100 post you will start receiving your stars...depending how active and the content of your post...so start sharing your good ideas now so you will be rated.
