it is the only movie which have no antagonist. al pacino n robert de niro in the movie is protagonist, in my humble opinion. it's too bad they have to kill each other. actually i want de niro won in the duel. what do you think?

I remember really liking the movie, but it's been a while since I've seen it. Although from what I remember, I have to agree with you. There is no clear-cut "bad guy". Shades of gray. I'll have to pick it up sometime, and watch it again.
