Are you a good samaritan?

I stopped in a McDonald's one day and the place was basically empty, as I was walking to the bathroom I saw some cash on the floor. I looked around and there wasn't anyone sitting at the tables. I picked it up and it was only $4, so I put it in my pocket. Was that okay? It was only a few dollars, but there wasn't anyone around to ask if it was theirs. What would you do? What if it were $100?

If someone is very honest, he or she must have given that money to the waiters or cashiers in that store. Well, what usually happens nowadays is that people just return the money they saw if it's big enough. I cannot really say if I am a good samaritan but I am always trying to. Let's be one.

Chances are, if you hadn't picked it up and taken it the next person to come by would have. I wouldn't keep $100 but I'm not sure how I'd get it back to the owner. If you leave it with the cashier, they could just as well pocket it.
