I have 3 but my partner wants more

My dilemma is that I have found out that i have endometriosis. I seen my Gyno today and he said to start thinking of whether I want anymore children or not as they are going to try and burn some of it off but says ultimately I will need to have a hysterectamy as you can't treat this. I don't want any more children at the moment and don't know if I want anymore at all but my partner wants more even though he knows that i'm in pain 99% of the time. What are your views on this and keeping in mind that I'm only in my 20's.

I would try to find a dr. that will excise the endo, not laser it off. Your dr. is right in that there is no cure but as many women have found out, a hyst isn't a cure either. If you have a hyst for treatment of endo, in order for it to come close to a cure, ALL of the endo needs to be removed! Unfortunately, most dr.'s, obgyns, are not experienced enough in endo to remove every last little bit, so there is a good chance of it coming back, even if it's 5 years down the road. I have had endo since I was 15 and in my opinion, based as lots of research I have done, a hyst or treatment with depot lupron, is not the best way to go. The best way to go is to have a lap with an endo specialist who will excise the endo-this is something that is not possible for many women do to the fact that the experts are so small in number and usually require the patient to pay a good amount, if not all, of the cost. If seeing a specialist is not something you are able to do, I would try to find the best endo dr. in your area that is covered by your insurance. I havn't tried it myself but some women swear by natural progesterone cream. If you try bc pills, do tham continuously so you do not have a period and use one that is monophasic.

You should try medical treatment and you should ask your doctor about it

You must have a sever case of it. I found out I had endometriousis in my early twenties as well. They did laser surgery on me and I went on to have 2 more children and have had no more problems with it. It is very painful and I can sympathize with you. If you and your partner want more children you might talk to your DR. and see if the treatments will make the pain go away long enough to have more children. If your DR. doen't recommend it and you know that the pain is to unbearable to have more children than I wouldn't have any more. You do what is right for you and your body.
