Has anyone ever had this test? Myelogram

I having this done the first part of April and was wondering if anyone else has ever had this done. I have to go through outpatient surgery for it and it takes like 3 hours and then when I get home I have to lie straight for 48 hours! I guess that they inject a dye into the spine to see where the nerve problem is in my back. Thanks in advance.

I had two within a 1-month period in 1968. Back then they used radio-opaque iodine (which I'm sensitive to). The first wasn't bad, but the second one gave me an excruciating headache for two weeks if I lifted my head above the level of my body. Two years later, I had a series of skull x-rays for sinuses. There was still dye on my brain. I had another one 10 years ago. The dye has changed, but the procedure hasn't. Fortunately, no headache.
