did you start smoking because of pressure?

I did not smoke utill i am 24 years old now,because I used to beleive in smoking does do harm to heath.but recently,I have suffered great pressure from life and feel unhappy and then i want to smoke and get drunk,actually i am still not addict to smoking,just want to relax and release my pressure. are you smoking,and did you start smoking the same reason as me?

hi alexcellzx,i don't smoke and i'm sure i won't in future. somking does be harmful for our health,while its effect is complex,you won't find it until many years' accumulation. my father started to smoke at age 16 when he was in the army. he said it's long and bored army life caused him to smoke. he has been smoking for 35 years since then. unluckily,he was diagnosed high blood pressure 2 years ago,and had to stop smoking it then. for a person who never drinks,his doctor told him that's smoking causes his high blood pressure. there are so many ways to relax yourself.i suggest you take exercises which is a healthier and efficient way. apart from it,listening to music,watching comedies,sleeping and turn to your friends for help are also good ways. don't choose the worst way and make yourself trapped in another puzzledom. health comes first,just take care of yourself.good luck!

dear sophialin,thanks so much for your suggestion and i am so moved by the caring from all of you guys.surely i am not in a good situation now because so many unhappy stuffs happened these days.i have tried other ways like what you say to release myself.I go to the Gymnasium, play basketball ,listen to music, watching movies and so on,sometimes they wouldn't help once i stop doing these. but i think i will accept your suggestion and try my best to get rid of it before i get myself trapped in another puzzledom. thanks a lot!

hi there yes man i do smoke since i was 17 and now iam 21 now i started to smoke just for the same reason u have pressure and i really want to quit smoking but i cant but the good thing is iam not drinking alcahole yet!!

No i started to smoke when i was 14 because my parents smoked, and some of my friends smoked, and i wanted to see what the big deal was.. after all.. if my parents did it, and they were okay, what was the big deal right ? If you haven't been smoking very long then you should just quit while you can! its really bad for you. I quit after 10 or 11 years of smoking because i became pregnant, and now i would never smoke again! It's so gross!

do you think that smoking release your pressure and make u relax? I don't think so.I too started like u do now. then i realize it would not help to release pressure and relax. then i left that habbit

nowdays people suffer more pressure than their parents,especially those who live in large cities.they have to deal with job ,family even children,so more and more decide to have a child later( more and more women give birth to a child when they are 30,ten years ago ,the average age is 24) or not have child all the life. Yes we always suffer pressure when we graduated and start to work.we don't know how to release ourseves.but we have to learn ,to learn how to not be interrupted by the pressure, and if the pressure coming what should we do first.I suggest you not smoke and drink first.Yes you're still not addict to them, but you have to realize that it's not crrect to smoke when you feel puzzled. It just makes you feel emptiness and if your body isn't good any more the greatest pressure are coming.So not to smoke or drink .try to climb a mountain or just have a walk to the park. I myself call my mother or sister or some friends when I am puzzled, but I don't talk to them what I feel about ,i just see something nonesense ,just make fun of them or be joked.I feel better everytime after laughing.You can try.
