hello reader's, i wanted to talk to you on the issue of racism. i feel that racism is not intentional to some degree. i think about how i was raised as a child growing up in south carolina. i always heard the older fe-mail peers in my family use terms like "the white man has this or has that" or "the white man doesn't want black people to go far" i never liked these terms because for starter's, who told alott of my neighbors to continue to use drugs and drink alcahol ? how many times has my neighbors actually picked up a book and studied something? when was the last time my neightbors stoped being ghetto and went out and got a job ? if i may ask, did you see a white person on the televison, who represented the whole white race, who said it him self that he didn't want black people to get anywhere ? do you see a truck filled with beer, drugs and wepons driven by a white man passing through each ghetto and leading every black, white, latino, asian ect. american on to not live they're life fully ? if you have then please feel free to tell me i'll be waiting. my point is i feel we should learn to stop blaming people for our own problems. we have to understand, that the white men and women (our fellow americans) that we see every single day were not the one's who brought our ancester's here on slaves ships or as indentured servants. my friends i am not the kind of man who complains about an issue, instead i wish to give you a solution. first we must be mindful of the fact, that one race do not think alike, this means you may see one black american commiting a crime but that does not mean we all do. you may hear about one white american say "we don't want the n*gger's or the sp*nks or the ch*nks" or "who ever isn't white to get a head of us". but this does not mean every white person feels this way. second, we must learn to throw drugs and alcahol out of our lives. this is very important, because drugs and alcshol not only destroy the relations we have we our peers , but it also destroys our mind and body and promotes ignorance. it's not an easy process. these substances give the body certain chemicals and when you stop "cold turkey" your body will litererally put it's self in pain to have these subatnces over agin. third , rather or not if we have went to school,or if we do not care about us , still we should play as big of a role in our childrens lives as possible no matter where you go in this life or what you do with your time, you will never stop learning. the way the brain works is like a sponge. it picks up everything in it's path. and the time you spend with your children will not only allow you to learn some thing about your self, but it will also allow you to learn the basics that your child is being taught at school. the basics are very important for any one persuing an education. and the love you and your children have for each other will grow stronger. last you must learn to love. real love for some one is love that will allow you to sacrifise your well being, your money and also your confort and your joy for the one's you love. always try your best after everything is said and done, we have only our selfs to live with. i hope this was helpful to you. take care and have a great day !

its a very nice input.. and I have to agree that being a racist doesn't mean you intend to let other people down.. Its just a matter of democracy... You can say what you see, and what you think is right or wrong.. Though some people are just there to criticize other people... (crab mentality)

hello pinayprincess (331) thanks for your comment. i shouldn't really act so extreme, yes this is an extreme issue, but i belive people will change one of these days, after awhile some of us will not really have a choice but too.
