What are your views on reality shows?

Personally, I'm getting sick and tired of all the reality shows televised in the UK, especially Big Brother. God knows which season it's on now but I wish they would axe it! I watched the end of the very first one and bits of the second then gave up completely. I can't believe that a reality show can turn a nobody into a celebrity, like Jade Goody (can't stand her!). They even used to show a 24 hour telecast of the the contestants sleeping! Who in their right mind would want to stay up to watch that?! Not all reality shows are rubbish, some are quite entertaining. Do you think there's too man reality shows or not enough? Which are your favourites and which do you loathe?

I love Big Brother! Although your right on the bit about filming them sleeping, I don't get that. I watched the American Big Brother & I didn't like it. I think ours is amazing. I hate Jade Goody too.

No I havn't seen them all. I started watching at Big Brother 3, i was only 10 at the time, so I havn't seen 1 or 2

I don't like reality shows. When I was a teen, I used to watch MTV's Real Life but that was definitely one of the earlier reality shows that didn't really suck. However, MTV has taken it way too far and turned everyone that has ever stared on a Real Life season into some kind of strange reality TV star. I mean, do we really need another reality show that involves people doing a lot of stupid stuff for money? Is that really necessary? These shows draw a lot of people in because they are tried of all the stuff that isn't real life, but now I'm tired of real life and want something different!

I have to agree it is about time they axed it. Have never been a fan of big brother caught some of the first series and found it very boring. Tend not to watch many reality shows as there is far too many, but i do like am a celebrity....get me out of here as it can be quite amusing.
