How are you preparing your corned beef for

St Patrick's Day. I am thinking I will throw mine in the crock pot. Any better suggestions? I am up for anything!

My crock pot corned beef seems to come out well. Remember to drain the bloody red stuff instead of cooking in it. Makes stuff to salty unless you drain it first.

My potatoes and cabbage fall apart if they're left in the crock pot all day. I just take a pot, throw in the brisket, toss in two pints of Guiness then cover the rest of the way with water and simmer it for a few hours. With about an hour to go I add some water if needed (just to coever up the meat), then I throw in the potatoes and cabbage, cover and let them steam. Simple, done in about 3 hours and totally delicious.
