Online purchases...! Do You Save on Time and Cost!?

I started purchasing online a couple of years ago and I notice that I do them more now than before. Because, online purchasing saves time, energies and costs too. For example, here you can get a train ticket online at up to 65% discount depending how early you make one (usually more than a week). One doesn’t need to go either, hence saving time and energies! Do you find online purchases better than on spot purchases? Have you ever had a bad experience with online purchase? Do you find that it offers more options than otherwise? Thanks!

The devil is in the shipping when it comes to online shopping. I generally prefer it a lot because I can sit at home, research the products I am looking for and find out which are the best ones. Then I can I try to find the best price for them online. I have found though that sometimes it costs more...after shipping to get these items. Time though is something I lose. It takes time to research, it takes time for that item to actually get to my door. However when it does finally get here, I'm usually more happy with it, then if I were to semi-impulse buy at a store. A lot of times, I will find what I want online, then go to a store and purchase it just so I can have it now...

Yes, shipping is the hidden devil. Whenever I see something interesting online, the first thing I would do is to check shipping costs and time. Sometimes it's free and other times it's not where, then, I would compare overall cost. In case of train tickets that I mentioned, shipping is free and there is nothing more pleasing about costs than to have it at 65% discount;-) I don't like impulse buying myself but I have fallen to it sometimes, which makes online research more satisfying as one can find exactly what one is looking for. You have an interesting idea about researching something online and then buying it on store to have that now! Thanks for sharing!:-)

I won't pay for the expensive shipping either, filmbuff! I am usually annoyed when I see that shipping cost is nearly as much as or close to the cost of item, especially below a certain amount!

You're welcome! If there is a free-shipping and it's cheaper I will wait a few days or a week, I usually have no problem with that. If shipping is crazy expensive, that is another reason to go buy it in the store, save a couple dollars and get instant gratification.

I think it would be better to have debit card rather than a credit card, or deal through Paypal! It will help you to stay in your financial limits and not get tempted to lucrative deals when you don't have enough and have to take credit. Credit cards have ruined many peoples' lives and good night's sleeps. If you can deal with credit cards such that you stay in your monthly budget, then there is no such harm. But, I have seen people who started on this limit but got tempted to something and bought it to pay it later in installments. Anyway, it's your choice, for sure!:-)

There was a time that I actually got addicted to online shopping. LOL! But I got them reigned in now or else I might find myself destitute than ever. I really find a lot of bargains online and whenever I want to purchase something, I do tend to check the prices online and I am glad to say that I do get a lot of very good bargains. It is indeed cheaper to buy online a lot of times. I only had one bad experience when I bought books from ebay U.S and the books didn't arrive and the seller was already no longer connected with ebay. I paid through bank draft then and the money was already withdrawn by the seller before anything could be done. However, I am now more confident in buying online because of paypal and the buyer security that they are offering.

Hello cdparazo!:-) online deals and purchases can be very tempting or even addictive, they seem so economical, don't they? You are right that it is not only easy to compare different options but also to find a good bargain on internet. It has opened so many avenues and the ever increasing competition keeps the prices down. I am really sorry about your experience but sometimes they teach us something very good and may even save us from bigger losses! Thanks for sharing!:-)

I love shopping on-line. It is so much more convenient and saves a lot of time and hassle. I live about thirty to forty miles from most stores, so I can find just about everything on-line without having to drive or stand in lines. I can also comparison shop easier to get the best deals.

Hello kellys3ps, Yes, it does save a lot of time and hassle, does it save cost for you too? you are so right about ability to compare freely and at will, I like that part too about online purchasing. I am not quite over my concerns about security though but I am becoming more and more trustful of online purchasing. Having had no bad experience helps! Thanks for sharing!:-)

i like to shop online sometimes, but not that often. It's always fun to browse thru the stuff online though. Whenever the items that I want is not available here, or if it is, it's cheaper online- then i'll most probably get it online. .
