Someone said that "a part time job is an important experience that every college student should have" . What do you think of it? I'd like to hear your comment on this statement. Thx!~

It all depends upon an individual. Most of us get into part-time jobs with the intention to get some extra cash so that we can spend them for something we want. Many college students already have a lot of money with them so they don't need to waste their time in part-time earning. In my view, part-time jobs give you a inner insight of what is the feeling of earning money. You start becoming responsible about that money and spend it on things very cautiously. One may spend the first few earnings very fast to buy new things, but later savings come into account. This becomes a habit and then a necessity, which is indeed good.

During my senior year in college, me and a friend decided to have a part time job for the reason we wanted to be "independent." We wanted that we will be the one to pay for our tuition fee for our last semester at least. We were accepted as marketing specialist in one of the fast food restaurants. We were about to have our seminars when we knew that our marketing professor for that semester was one of the most known terror in our school. We decided not to pursue since we have to focus on our studies. Whew! If you think that you have time and your schooling will not be affected if you have a part time job then go for it. Its best to start working at an early stage so you would know how to value more the money.
