Back To The 80s - What Was Your Favourite Tv Programme?

In the 80s I was pre-teen - teen and I remember that there were some great programmes on tv. I was a huge fan of the A Team and would watch it every week without fail. In fact my mum and dad would use it against me as punishment, so if I was naughty I was not allowed to watch it! Murdoch was my favourite character and I loved it when he used to upset B.A. I still watch it now when they put it on our tv channels, and even my kids love it. They just do not make programmes like these anymore do they? But there were lots of other programmes throughout the 80s, such as Dallas, Golden Girls, Dukes Of Hazard, Hart to Hart, Fall Guy, Love Boat, Magnum, Dynasty, to name but a few! Did you have a favourite? If so what was it and why? What made that programme special for you?

Hey gemini_rose you just brought back some memories. i loved the love boat it was the absolute best. and another favorite was the golden girls {still watch the reruns.} what made them fun was that they dealt with adult issues in a kid friendly way. thats why the're still appealing even to the younger generation.

The love boat was brilliant, it was really funny and the golden girls, I watch it on a saturday morning now on one of my cable channels and it has me in stitches, I saw one the other week with a really young george clooney in it, could not believe how young he looked! They do appeal to the younger generation, like I say mine love watching the A Team when they put it on sky Gold and it is something we all watch as a family, and thats how it was back then too. Its a shame they do not do things like that now.

There were a lot of good shows in that time period and I think one of my favorites was Scarecrow and Mrs. King. Another show that I really liked and wish was still on was BJ and The Bear. Does anyone remember it? Of course, my brother and I had to watch The Dukes of Hazzard every Friday night and I am sure that anyone who had a younger brother had fights with them as to which was the best Duke boy- Of course, Luke Duke is the winner by far on that subject for me!

I remember scarecrow and mrs King! BJ and the bear rings a bell, but I cant just quite recall it, I think there were some brilliant programmes on then, and todays tv is not a patch on some of those programmes.

I absolutely loved to watch the A-team. It is amazing how they always had what they needed to accomplish what they needed to. Murdoch also was my favorite. I always laughed at how he could set B.A. off. The Dukes of Hazard, Hart to Hart--absolutely loved, Golden Girls--watch them still today, Love Boat--one of the ones I didn't like to miss, and the others that you mentioned are just a few that I watched and today when they are on the channel that I watch sometimes of the old programs that used to be on I still do switch it to that channel and take a trip down memory lane.

Oh the A-team were definately heroes in my eyes! There were some great programmes and it is good that some of them are still shown but I still think it is a shame that nothing like that will ever be made again.

I never got into either of them, I watched a few episodes of Miami Vice but did not get very into it. I did not know Julia Roberts was in it, she is one of my favourite actresses, she has done some great stuff.
