Infants have the capacity of learning languages better then older people, the younger they are the better. Experts tell us that while the brain is developing, it is making and streghting the synapses that it needs and discarding the ones it doesn't need. If you are engaging your baby in three languages early, then that brain function will be very strong. If I KNEW amother language I would tach my younger son (who is now a little over 2).

I have a three year old daughter and she's bilingual. She can also understand some sign language. It is really amazing how babies adapt to the different language around him. I talk to her in English but my mother and nanny would talk to her in Filipino. When my nanny says something, I translate it to her and repeat again in both languages. That's how she learned.

i don't think it will confuse your baby. it will just give the baby more languages to learn, which isn't a bad thing. it will all be okay, you just have to have faith in that. God bless and good luck

I don't know think it would confuse them. Children are quick learners and it would be good for them to learn more than one language at an early age. I don't see anything negative about wanting your child exposed to more than one language. I wish I had been.

I am a lebaneese american woman with three children by the time each of my children were at the age of three they were speaking, reading, and writing english, arabic, and french fluently. A child is quick to learn and it would be great for them to know more then one language so please do not worry.
