What colors would you want for your wedding day?

I have thought this over, because I'm with the man I want to marry. He is very into his Irish heritage, and I love that about him. So I've decided, since most wedding days are supposed to be more for the 'bride', I am going to include my man on that day by using Irishy colors. My wedding day is going to be Clover green and Ivory. I think it's going to be gorgeous! With little pots of gold on the tables and shamrocks and what not, I can't wait for that day to arrive :)

That is a sweet idea. Very unique. My wedding colors were celadon (a green color) and yellow. My maid of honor's dress was yellow and everyone else wore celadon. And, I am assuming you are engaged so, Congratulations. If you aren't yet engaged, Congrats on finding the man you want to marry!

Well then, an early congrats to you! And, trust me, when he finally does it, it will all be worth it! He is probably planning out something really special for you. There are plenty of men who don't hardly think about the proposal at all. Be really happy that he thinks so much of you that he wants to make it so perfect for you. He is making it all about you and that is very sweet!

No, I'm not quite engaged yet. He has the ring, has for the past 2 months, but hasn't yet proposed. He wants to ask at the 'right time', and doesn't want it to be boring when he does it. He wants me to always remember the day he proposed to me, but frankly at this point I'm always going to remember that he made me wait months when I already knew he was going to ask. It's ok though, I know he's going to. I just have to be patient.

My fiance is Irish, too. Our wedding colours/theme is ocean, though. My favourite colour is green and his is blue and put them together and they're the shades of the ocean! lol I hope it turns out pretty. Good luck! And if you really want an Irish theme, there are a lot of fun (and classy) things you can do with post-St Patty's sales. I got my favour boxes last year on sale. It was only $1.19 for a set of ten!

I'll definitly have to look into that. I'm not sure when the wedding will be, as he hasn't even given me the ring yet. It's been sitting on his dresser for the past 2 months, because he says, 'Even though you know I have it here for you, I want to give it to you during a special time so it always means something to you.' It's driving me absolutly insane, but I know he has good intentions. It also turns out that his birthday is today, the day after St. Patty's day, so he will be in a good mood today :)

We decided it will gonna be silver and crystals. We chose it because this year is our 10th anniversary together. In the traditional anniversary per year, for the 10th year it is Aluminum or Tin, while in the Modern, it is Diamond. I get the color of aluminum or tin which is silver and the sparkles of diamond in crystals.

We did our wedding in March and used the colors green, black and white. Those colors really work well together and green is always a cheerful color to have at a wedding. Green has always been my favorite color and I would like to think it has a little something to do with being Irish!
