Will Tibet be better off alone or is it wiser sticking with the Chinese Govt? The Chinese Govermnent has brought development but it has also supressed the culture and freedom of the Tibetian's; Tibet without the support of the Chinese Govt will be wedged at the mercy of the Indian and Chinese Govt; so which one is better in this 'modern village'freedom or development?

I don't really see why Tibet shouldn't decide for itself which neighbor it wants to be more closely allied to, if either. China has annexed Tibet and brutally suppressed it's people for decades. I think that now would be a good time for them to go, but they won't and Western governments are much more interested in maintaining good economic links with China to care. It is a very sad situation.
