I have always wanted to be in that family where everyone is home for dinner and we all sit down and eat together. Exchange funny stories of what happened in everyones lives that day. And where everyone one helps clean up after. To have that kind of relationship with your family where you can tell everything to everyone in your family. Instead of having that one member who you wouldnt feel comfortable telling some things to. And to always have home as the safe place. Obviousley since i'm saying its what i've always wanted, I dont have that situation. Mine is where my brother has gotten married and started his own family, dad is never home because of work obligations (and even when he is home, he's not very pleasent) and mom and I usually make whatever we want for ourselves that night and eat it on a table tray in front of the t.v. Not a very exciting lifestyle I know. Something I do have though that not many families do, its the oppertunity to travel. ALL of my family lives out of state, so if we want to see them, we go to them. So theres always an adventure. I have so much fun with my out of state family, and if i could change my situation now, I'm not sure if i would. What's your situation like? And do you value it like you should?

Hello Lindsey, My idea of a great family setting would be similar to what you said. Everyone home for dinner, where we talk at the table and learn about how eachothers day went. Where people work normal hours. - I also want to have several children. When I was younger I had dreamed about having a BIG family because I loved being surrounded by people who loved eachother and of course there will be fighting but that comes with anything. Family get togethers are things I enjoy too. Right now, my family is... My husband, Me, the baby inside and our cat that pees on everything (yes. wont be for much longer!) - We work different shifts, so we barely see eachother anymore. I pretty much live by myself until night time when I get home from work at 10:30pm. and my husband gets up at 6am. and is usually in bed by the time I get home or goes soon after I walk in the door. - So atleast I don't sleep alone, thats one good thing, but thats about the only thing. I can't wait to get normal jobs/careers, work normal hours (9-5) or so. and be able to eat dinner together and actually enjoy my life. So there ya have it!
