I want affiliate programs that really work

Do you know any affiliate programs that pay off in time? Have you earned money off of any of those you don't have to pay for? What was the best way you started earning from affiliate sites?

I have earned money off of every site on my blog so far. I am constantly getting small payments of some sort. The largest I have earned from one payment is $29 and change. You can check my blog for some sites if interested its on my profile.
