As investigators consider digging for bodies at a remote ranch where Charles Manson and his acolytes once hid out, new information has emerged to bolster reports of possible clandestine grave sites in the barren California desert, authorities say.Former Inyo County detective John Little said Wednesday he was sent into the desert in 1974 by his former boss to investigate possible human remains buried at Barker Ranch. law enforcement officials are poring over the forensic evidence gathered at the ranch by investigators from Tennessee's Oak Ridge National Laboratory. I feel for the families who don't know what happened to their loved ones. Begs the question why Manson still living? Why are members of the "Family" still having parole hearings.

Well, it is expensive to kill someone. Difficult legalities. Nasty to think they can be paroled. Scary really. At least these stories will put a negative spin on the parole hearings -- because the Family should have spilled the beans about these gravesites if they had really been rehabilitated.

Is it more expensive to kill a convicted mass killer or keep him alive for years indefinately and foot the bills for all the appeals and everything else he creates? And the families of the victims need closure - they need closure so is knowing that the person that "did it" is still alive and well and being supported amd constantly getting public attention and notariety while your family member is not - how hard is that? So knowing that those bones are your family member is better closure than knowing that the person that did it is still alive and well?
