spend more to buy famous brand?

I think this would depend from person to person. Right now, since I am earning just right, I would have to be a little practical. I would buy items that is in quality but will cost me less. I believe that some branded items, those expensive one's will have to protect the name of their company so they must have a high quality for their items to have it last longer. If I have more than enough money, say someday, that is the time that I will buy some famous brand- but surely, it must be something that I NEED, it's not always buying for something that I just WANT. There's a difference of course. =)

Speaking of clothing...no way. As for household items...yeah, I do, but usually only because I have tried the off brands and wasn't pleased. Paper towels and toilet paper are two that come right to mind- I will not buy off brands on those...I spend the extra money. (Though I have brands I prefer over other name brands, too). Mayonnaise, peanut butter, shampoo, espresso. Yeah, quite a few, now that I think about it. Now...macaroni and cheese- Walmart brand thick and creamy beats Kraft any day. We don't eat it often, but when we do nothing but Walmart's brand will do. Garbage bags- Walmart brand again. We have begun to eat more natural/organic foods...I don't know if I am getting "name brands" but I am definitely paying more no matter how I look at it..lol.
