Throwing a Party....Need Help

I am planning to throw a party. I would just like to have a reunion with my friends from highschool. Basically, I am trying to think of how to set it up. I am planning a theme like Mexican. But I don't know where to start. I want it to be fun and not just plain eat and chat. Also, do you know other drink to serve besides soda ? Thanks.
