Pesos or dollars?

I saw a posting at MyLot in which the user says she pays 100 pesos a month for internet usage! I checked her profile and it says she lives in Singapore! Do people in Singapore use both pesos and dollars?

That's funny haha. If it helps there are a lot of Filipinos in Singapore. I have a lot of Filipino friends in Singapore whom I visited last February. She may have meant that the internet charge was equivalent to paying 100 pesos if she was back home in the Philippines. That's what I can think of though. Otherwise it might have been a typo. Can you send me the post, olivemai?

Oh, now that does sound like something that I did not think of! I think we may have a winner here! I can search for it, but I think you hit the nail on the head! Cool, thanks for thinking about it for me!

Countries that had been colonized by the spaniards use peso as their currency. as for Singapore, they're using dollars so i think that person spending 100pesos is using a different currency

I have a cousin who is working in singapore and they are earning and using singaporean dollar.another thing is that, internet connection in the Philippies costs 1000php/month which is equivalent to almost $25. Maybe she's working in singapore when she joined mylot but already back in the Philippines whe she posted it but what also confused me is this 100pesos internet bill. Maybe she is just using a public cafe which costs 15/hr.

she/he might lied to her/his country because singapore used singapore dollar not peso. the only country in asia that used peso is my country the Philippines. maybe she/he made a mistakes on psoting it. In our country the cheapest offer for an internet connection is 1000 Philippine Peso (Php) around $25 a month if we talk about broadband internet connection.

It could be a mistake, or she was from Singapore but living in the Philippines! It is a similar price here for the internet, unless it is on your cellphone, then it might only cost six dollars a month!

I didn't know what to think! So I am wondering if there is a connection between the countries or something?
