Web major Google has launched a portal for non-profits, the portal provides N g o s and other service organizations access to select applications. It also has ideas and tutorials on how to use the a p p s to promote causes and raise money for them. These can also go through material on how other N G O s had used the A p p s to achieve success. The portal includes Google Checkout, Docs, Calendar, and Analytics apart from G mail. Tutorials explain how non-profit entities use Google Grants to place cost-free ads, and You Tube, Blogger, Map & Earth, Groups, and Gadgets to get publicity and create awareness. This new venture is part of Google's efforts to drive some of its profits to charitable causes.
