I really like the Gilmore Girls. The story is so real and a lot of people can relate to that. It's also amazing to see a mother-daughter relationship that mainly involves friendship and respect for each other. Although lorelei had rory when she was very young, she managed to raise an intelligent and responsible daughter. Isn't that amazing? Bu then they're Americans and I"m Filipino. Which means there is a world of different cultures that stands between. Their relationship blossomed that way because they were born that way. I don't think that kind of parenting technique would apply nicely to Filipinos. But I still believe that it's up to the parents to decide on how to deal with their children. If they think being authoritative does good to their children, the handling is up to them. Some parents also employ a diplomatic way of raising their children. Either way, children should be brought up to become, productive, responsible and good individuals. What do you think?

I was pregnant when I started watching Gilmore Girls, I admit, I do envy Lorelai and Rory's relationship, I wish I had that kind with my mom. Who wouldn't, right? And as I was contemplating the birth of my baby (who turned out to be a boy), I was wishing, hoping and praying that my child will grow up to be as obedient, smart, loving, kind-hearted, patient, beautiful, etc., just like Rory. And as I was a bossoming mom at that time, I was unconsciously taking pointers from Lorelai on how to rear my baby. I know that we live in different environment, I am a Filipino, too, but their relationship was so strong and they so compliment each other that I was so obsessed in becoming like them. The series ended, no more mother-daughter tandem to looked up to but the teachings and the values that Gilmore incurred in me will never be forgotten. I know, I sound ridiculous, but it's true. I am bringing up my son, as well as I could, I think I have a bit of all the mothers whose show I've watched throughout the years.

The most thing i admire this is that there's no problems that can't be solved. They have quarrels, difference, but eventually they make a way out of this. I like them saying:Hey, we need to talk.
I want to say this sentence to people around me as well, in this case, we can better solve the problems and much more quickly
