Every religious holiday or none?

March 23, 2008 10:10am CST
I don't care about Christmas or Easter but have to take part in it. Why should I, I'm not christian, I'd be quite happy to work on these holidays as long as I got the time off on other days. So should we, as we are living in a multi cultural society either get a day of work for every religions holiday or only the religion we are an active member of?

i do the holiday thing for the kids. but i agree with you. i am not religiuos either. my kdis go to church etc but i let them choose what they want to believe in. they are 10 and 13 and they like to try differnt religions and really havent found the one that they relate to. i just try to teach them to be good people etc. i have to admit though i like having days off with pay at my job lol. i would much rather have teh day after thanksgiving off though then thanksgiving lol. not sure if you know who david icke is but that is alot of how i look at life and follow.

That's the best way to let children decide what religion they want to follow and whatever they decide the main thing is they are good people. That's what I did, although I ended up atheist I always said the only good thing about Christmas/Easter was the days off. I do know David Icke, is he still going? I haven't seen anything about him for ages.

he is still going and doing talks and such. i think he is great i think my favorite thing i ever saw was in his speech about how we are all like lambs and then he was walking around the stage bahh bahh bahhing. if you sit and watch people that is really what they look like. 8am time to hit the time clock we all look like cows in a shoot lol. same with getting off work. i just think if we are good people , happy, and do what we believe is best then we will be just fine.

But what about the people who don't want to be part of a religion. Why should they have to take part?
