I'll be your Fireman if you'll be my Nurse

What is it with uniforms that we find sexy. Yet many of us just love to fantasize about our lovers being soldiers, sailors, nurses, schoolgirls or Police. In everyday life the people that wear these things are performing important functions that benefit us all. I don't find anything remotely sexy in a nurse emptying a bed pan, but there is an eroticism there in the uniform. What is it about a lover in uniform that does it for you.

Funny you should start this discussion. My husband works for our county's water department... And he has to wear a uniform every day. It's really nothing special, not like a fireman or a policeman outfit, it's just work-issue khakis and a blue-striped shirt. He has blue eyes and his shirt is the exact same color, so I like it! He works outdoors most of the time and he smells really good for that, unless he's worked on sewer stations that day. Ew. The appeal of his uniform to me is based purely on the fact that I know he's working his tail off to support me and our sons, and I love him all the more for it. That doesn't mean I want his uniforms in the bed, though! I see enough of 'em as it is! I think I know the appeal of fire and police uniforms though. Women want to be "taken care of" (whether she will admit it or not), and the fireman and policeman represent that the way no one else can. They stereotypically have rugged good looks, those perfect muscles only a paintbrush could create, and that blazing-inferno-in-the-background fantasy going for them too. So when you see someone in that uniform, it automatically sets off the Pavlovian drool response. That's why they can raise so much money when they stand in the street (like the Shriners) in uniform. Women like my sister drive by over and over again, fishing change from every possible car location! I have to admit, I like a good fireman as well as any other woman, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about all the uniform in the bedroom. Aw, what the heck, may as well give a try! What is the appeal of a nurse, though? They don't even wear the cute dresses anymore! They wear scrub clothes, and while some scrubs are office-cute, they are NOT bedroom-worthy! Does it date back to the World Wars when women got involved the only way they could, wore the "nurse" dress, took care of the wounded, and kept marrying the soldiers? That I can understand, even though I'm a woman. But still, I don't understand the appeal of today's nurse... Maybe men like to be taken care of, too, whether he'll admit it or not?

What an excellent response! I'd copy and paste most of it and use it for my own if I could. lol. I say "most", because I don't have a husband who works in a uniform. I don't even have a husband anymore. lmao.

I am sure that there is something in that "caring for you" thing. I couldn't agree more about the nurse uniform of today. Hideous. The old starched pinny and rustling skirt, the black stockings....... Thank you FaerieAne, you've got be all hot and bothered now.

Ive really never been one for that whole uniform thing...I guess it just doesnt appeal to me really...and come to think of it its never done anything for me...I would consider dressing up for someone but I have no desire for my men to put uniforms on for me..I'd probably just laugh at them if they were to LOL...I'm mean like that

Although I've never been turned on by the thought of a lover dressing up in a uniform, I do have that turned on feeling when I see men dressed up in uniforms... like firefighters, police, etc. For me, it's the responsibility they emit. Responsible adult men I find very sexy. Someone I don't have to look after... someone who can look after himself. Yes, extremely sexy indeed.

I think that is exactly the appeal. "You are safe now. I will look after you. Fall into my arms". In the same way, I think the nurse image is saying something similar. But I don't find the modern day nurse uniforms a turn on, and I certainly don't ogle them in the street. 9 hours to go!

I don't get what makes a pair of scrubs sexy but men love them and me in them. I can't complain..I will watch this discussion though for an answer to why men love scrubs that make my butt look saggy! LOL

Scubs don't do it for me. But if it were you inside them, I just might make an exception!

This might sound strange, but if you think about, since you know me, it will end up making sense. If not, I'll tell you all about it privately. I like mechanics uniforms. Something about all that grease, and engines, and motors and those infinitely sexy men in those uniforms, one in particular, is just too sexy for me. I do believe that there are two mechanics here on the Lot. Both of them are very sexy and one is an absolute beast. The other one is a bit of a dog, but we like dogs. Rufff! Never found much sexy in a police uniform though, but a fireman, that's another story. I think that in my case, the fire wouldn't be in a building, though.

I am reliably informed that there are ways to stop that fire spreading and reducing it to a damp patch.

Frankly I find people in any kind of uniform intimidating. The presence of a uniform to me represents a whole phalanx of people that will appear en masse out of the woodwork and put me in my place if I don't do as I'm told. lol So to bring a uniform into my bedroom is a definite no go for me. Unless it's a birthday suit 'uniform'. Everyone has one of those. LOL

Since a nurse slapped my butt. I was very young and very impressionable. And you can pin your gold braid to your nipples. It's quite the rage on this side of the pond. LOL

(Therapist pose).. "So how long have you been experiencing this problem with authority figures?" Birthday suit uniform is good for me too. But wear do I pin the gold braid?

Not me. Uniforms don't necessarily turn me on. I don't fantasize about nurses, very rarely about college girls (here in our country college students wear uniforms). And you can be sure I never fantasize about policemen or firemen! Haha
