Do people avatars and user name define your opinion of them?

When you see someone avatar and user name do you form an idea of who they are? Are you often surprised by their responses because they differ from their avatars/username?

Sometimes i look at an avatar and wonder about the meaning behind it, but i never get any ideas about it one way or the other. I'm more concerned about the issues that are being discussed and the responses being given.

I have met and seen some that I thought are what they could be after noticing their user names and avatars, most of them do provide good opinions and share some well-thought responses. After realizing my mistake, I am now doing my best not to judge others just because they don't sound friendly or look good for me. Myself is an example, my user name came from a villain on one of the PS1 games I used to play back then. Same thing goes to my avatar, which I believe a lot of FF8 players were annoyed by it because it is one hard creature to fight with and defeat..
