The main thing that feeds foot smell is sweat. With more than 250,000 sweat glands each, your feet are among the most perspiring parts of the body. In one day, each foot can produce more than a pint of sweat! Sweat is basically just salt and water, though, so it doesn't have a distinctive smell of its own. The smell is actually caused by bacteria on our skin that eats the sweat and excretes waste that has a strong odor. It's perfectly normal to have bacteria on your skin, and it doesn't ordinarily produce a noticeable smell, but sweat attracts bacteria and gives them a whole lot to feed on.

Foot odor is due to the feet having a lot of sweat glands, like the armpit. This makes the feet a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. When the bacteria feed on your skin, it releases an organic acid which doesn't smell good. So the more the sweat, the happier the bacteria, the stinkier the smell. I got this from Chris & Chat Spa at http://spaandfacialcarecenter.blogspot.com/

Hi dear marketing, it is really disgusting when we happen to smell any of the foot odor especially in the confined air-con room or bus. I did have this unpleasant experience when I shared a hotel room with a friend. The night when we came back from outside after a hard day trip, once she entered the room she took out her socks and shoes and I promptly got the awful smell. Luckily she soon entered the bathroom to enjoy her showering and I then quickly put her shoes outside the doorway. I think the odor of her feet came from the accumulated sweat and dust on the socks as well as the poorly aerated shoes.

There are some reasons to cause the foot odor. The bacteria is the main factor to create the odor smell. In fact feet also need to have a breath. If you wear shoes all day long in a hot weather, the foot sweat will cause a bad smelling. So when you are home, it's better for you to take off the shoes and let your feet to have a breath.

Hello dear marketing friend. I think that it is because we walk too much and also it depends on the body smell of a person. It is a good habit to always change the socks every day and air the shoes to reduce the bad smell of both the shoes and the feet. Thank you.

Its bacteria that causes foot odor. Bacteria grows in the shoes and in the foot especially when it is moist. One of the ways to prevent foot odor is to air the shoes to keep it dry and live it under the sun for an hour or so to kill the bacteria. Or you could spray it with some bacteria killing agent.

Foot stinks just not because of the sweat alone. When we use the used scoks, it would already accry bacteria with it. When this socks is used for very long, the moist and dark place become breeding ground and activates the bacteria. This is waht actually causes bad odour. It is always adviced to remove your shoe for 5 min every 3 hrs so that the light would destroy the bacteria. USe clean socks Wash your feet cleanly every time you take out your shoe when u reach home
