The best antivirus is NOD32, I have been using it for 2 years and is very light, faster and doesn´t need a lot of memory for the file system monitor, try it you won´t have regret, I recommend use it with kerio firewall is fast too and light and you can configure it as you needs specially when you have a lot of programs P2P or the computer is used for many persons.

I concur! I've used Norton, McAffee, and others. None of them works better than Nod32.

I use AVG because some good friends of mine here on the Internet use it. I used Norton for many years and then my computer got a serious virus and had to go to the computer hospital and cost me a fortune to get it off. So then I used One Care, and found the if I used the browser Foxfire, my computer would freeze up. So someone suggested this AVG and I haven't been using it very long, but so far it is doing well. It scans my whole computer every day at a certain time which does not bother what I am doing and it keeps my computer nice and clean.

Used to use Mcaffy, but I had issues with it updating. So I moved to AVG. Frankly I wouldn't touch any norton progams if you paid me. too many issues of them not working, allowing viruses in, slowing down PCs, and just not working. A local tech did a test around here, ran one PC with Norton, and it ended up with over 20 diffrent infections. In just an hour online. Occationally if I suspect something MAY be up I also will run an online AV, trend micro. That picks up things that AVG may have missed. But so far, both come back negative.

Well I use Zone Alarm, but I purchased the security suite and my computer has been totally virus, spyware, malware,...you name it... free. I've been using it for over a year now without any problems.

I am using AVG Free and it has been protecting my computer ever since I have used it. I do not have current problems with viruses even if I plug a lot of external drives and download arduous amount of gigabytes from the internet. So, I believe it is best.

karpersky is the best anti- virus as far as I know. It is made from russia. In our school it was hit by a virus but only kasperky healed and killed the virus.
