What do you do when you are in a "funk"?

I'm really in a "funk" today. This isn't usual for me. I feel really fatigued and have a sensitive throat and no energy and discouraged and . . . Well, you get the picture. I hope I'm not coming down with some bug or something. I seldom get really sick, so it will probably go away soon. At least, that is what I'm counting on. Because I'm sure not fun to be around today! I'm retired, so I don't HAVE to be around anyone but my spouse. That saves the environment right there! LOL I tried going back to bed. That didn't really help much, just kept me out of the way. Maybe I'll fix a hot meal and see if that helps. I don't feel hungry, though. That, in and of itself, is symptomatic of something! I'm ALWAYS hungry. Maybe it is chocolate deprivation. What do you think?

Absolutely!! Sounds like your chocolate levels could be dangerously low. I could also recommend an all over oil massage but in lieu of this - at least a sholder and head massage. Feel better hon!

Opening the blinds or curtains and letting in the sunshine usually lifts my spirits and energy, at least a little. If my throat starts feeling sore or scratchy, I gargle at least 3 times a day with warm salt water. I know it tastes gross, but bacteria don't like salt and the warm water soothes the throat. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Opening the blinds doesn't work really well here in this time of year. We have more gray days than sunny. But I do feel better with sunshine. A good night's sleep seems to have done the trick. I felt MUCH better today. Thanks.

Watch some funny movies, read some funny comics, or exercise. Those things always help me out.

We went walking in the mall. It wore me out but at least I wasn't sitting at home feeling guilty because I wasn't doing anything useful. Thanks.

Sounds like a cold coming on to me. Drink some OJ and spend the day doing nothing. Watch TV or something.

Sometimes when I am feeling down and out and don't feel like doing anything productive, I will grab a big quilt and cuddle up and watch sitcoms for a few hours. This will usually cheer me up and then sometimes I will get enough energy to get up and be productive. If not, there's always tomorrow. :)

There is always hope for tomorrow. Thanks. I'm really weary tonight, so hope to get some rest and be ready to face the world in the morning.

I hope this has resolved for you by now. If not, i would cuddle up and watch tv with some hot drink. It truly sounds like you're coming down with something, and maybe you'll get rid of it fast.

I'm not giving in to illness if I can help it. Fluids! Watched t.v. but nothing much was on, so here I am back at myLot. I'm planning on going to bed early and reading a detective novel. Hope to sleep away whatever this is and start tomorrow fresh!
