Thought on the war

I would love to see our boys and girls come home, but I also know that they will stay and do their job as long as someone thinks they are suppose to be there. My husband was in the Marine Corps and I'm glade he is out know b/c he would be there if not. He would have loved the chance to go and serve his country.

As much as I hate seeing our soldiers die, the reality is, if we leave Iraq now, it's going to send the country into a civil war that will eventually expand to encompass the entire middle East and possibly end up causing another World War. It's easy to say, in hindsight, that we should never have gone there. And, chances are that opinion is right. But, withdrawing soldiers is going to cause a whole lot more damage and many more deaths.

Thank you for your response. It is so sad that our men and women have to die like that.

I agree with you, it is not a good idea to pull out now, (not only that but it will put our own country back in danger)

and the problem is the reason and the time they are suppose to be on war. nothing better to see them comming home safe and with no traumas. who wants war should war himself like the old times, where Kings fought side by side with the soldiers.

I thank that troops for protecting a country and our freedom. They're job it to protect others and as long as they are needed they should and will stay in Iraq. They knew what they were getting themselves into when they inlisted, so for people to be mad cause so many troops are dying and saying its not fair need to realize that Freedom isnt Free. The troops are fighting and dying for you!

I realize that. I just hate that so many have had to die already to keep us free.

i think this is a tough issue. i want all the troops to come home because i dont think its their responsbility to fight iraq's war. iraq needs to build their own army and fight. i know it is more complicated then that but i have friends who are fighting there now and bottom line is is that i just want them to come home safe and sound. :-(
