Getting rid of acne

Someone who went to school to learn about acne told me to do this: Get a white washcloth and get it really hot/warm. As warm as you can get it. Keep putting it on your face to open up the pores. Then use face soap and lather it up real good and wash your face. Rinse off the soap and then take the washcloth and get it cold. Keep putting it on your face to close the pores. I do this sometimes... I should do it more often. When I was doing it almost everyday I did realize a difference. My face looked more clearer and just better. Has anyone found anything that really works for them? I really like neutrogena products, what products do you like to use?

I've never heard of doing that with the washcloth, but I'll have it to try it. It seems simple enough. I'm also a huge fan of Neutrogena; nothing else seems to work for me, including the ProActive stuff that supposedly works for EVERYONE. I think that's a load of crap, but whatever.

I agree, I have tried ProActive and it didn't work with me either. Neutrogena is the best in my opinion.

I wouldn't think that using soap on your face, especially if you have acne would be a good thing. I like to use natural products that are safe and won't cause any reactions. I feel the best products that I have ever used is Arbonne products, they are all natural and do not use mineral oils or animal by products, they are not tested on animals either.
