Has anyone here had a spinal block before and have pain weeks afterwards?

Three weeks ago after I gave birth to my baby, I had to go to theatre and have a spinal block as I had severe blood clots in my uterus. I was terrified of getting the spinal block as I was worried about complications. After the needle was in everything was okay, I was numb from chest down. However still three weeks later I have pain in my back, the exact spot where the needs was inserted in my spinal block. It is not excruciating pain, but some days it is quite uncomfortable. Is this normal, not sure whether to bother going to doctors as it is not excruciating and what could they do to fix the problem. Have you had any similar experiences to this?

I have never had a spinal so I don't know the specifics but I've talked to other moms who've had similar complications. Sometimes it does go away on it's own but other times they've had to return to their doctor to have the site 'patched'. I'm not sure exactly what that means but I guess it's basically that the site doesn't close up like it's supposed to and so it has to be fixed. You should check with your doctor and see what can be done.
