what was he thinking???!!!

Yesterday while speaking to my mother she tells me about a man who attempted to rob a muffler shop. The muffler shop opens for the day and in walks a man with a gun. He tells the man behind the counter to open the register. The employee tells him we have just opened there isn't any money in there. Robber then tells him to open the safe. Employee says he can't do this only the supervisor can and he isn't here yet. Robber grabs a piece of paper writes down 2 phone numbers and hands it to employee saying, "When he gets here call me at one of these numbers. I'll come back.". So the employee calls this man and he true to his word returns to the muffler shop. Of course the police were contacted and were waiting when he arrived. They arrested him and took him into custody for armed robbery. Now what would a person be thinking to do something like this? Why?? Where is this man's common sense?? Not that robbing someone is the right train of thought to begin with...Why would someone do this? I honestly thought she was joking and busted out laughing..but she said it really happened and I couldn't believe what people do in life. Had to share it with you all..please share your thoughts with me on this one. Is this the mentality of our fellow humans these days? If so do you think we have problems on the horizon or what? Hope for our future...Mamablaze!!
