Lab or retriever?

i think same as people.. it doesnt really matter the breed or creed,its the individualistic dog themselves as to if theyre "good" or not. ive known pitbulls that were better temperments and personality than some retreivers in my day. if i HAD to choose tween a lab or a retriever, without interacting with the dogs themselves, id go with the lab. theyre shorter hair, less fuss, less mess.

A lab IS a retriever. Retrievers are a group of breeds, not just a breed. Labradors, Goldens, Flatcoated, etc, they're all retrievers. And they are all great dogs, but I don't think it's possible to say one breed is better than the other cause they're equally good.
