at wht age did u start living on ur own

Well I never lived on my own, I have always had a room mate when I was in college but still on my parents dime, they were paying for me to go to school and help with my expenses. I did have a job, but it paid hardly anything and it was mostly just to add to the bank account that I had while I was in school. Then after college I moved in with my dad, I still paid my own bills but he did not charge me any rent or anything, but I paid for my own car, my insurance, and I was working at a job 40 hours a week so I was sort of on my own but not living by myself, About 9 months later I got engaged, and moved in with my fiance who is now my husband, we got married within 10 months of being living together. So no I have not been on my own. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if I had been on my own, if I never married my husband, we almost were not going to marry but then for some reason we just decided that is what we wanted to do in life is to be married to eachother..... I guess I do know that someday I will be on myown, my kids will be grown and on their own, my spouse may be gone before me so therefore I will be on my own in that sense. Hope I do okay

I would have liked to live on my own when I was 18 but I felt I could not leave my widowed mother at that time, so I stayed with her until I got married at 23. I was 32 when my marriage ended and I have lived on my own ever since. I prefer living on my own. I like my privacy, my freedom and my independence.
