My $10 Guitar...

My $10 Guitar... - Use to always force my friends that can play the guitar to play for me, but ever since I bought that guitar in the picture above, I have had the joy of trying to teach myself. When I do get as good as my friends, then I'll force the to play along with me!!! lol

Ok, So I work here in Las Vegas at the Sands Convention Center. And those of you who know what a convention center is know that I probably see a lot of different stuff. If you don't, just ask me. Well, there was this convention in town last month. It was like some gift expo, and one of they exhibiting companies there was selling all kinds of guitars. Now, I really love music. I love almost all kinds of music. I love the sound of the guitar, but not as much as I love the piano. Well, I looked around, not intending to buy one because they are usually so expensive, and I had no clue how to play anyway. But then this guy showed me their cheapest one. And you know how much it cost? Yep, $10. I thought to myself, "If this is only $10 I might as well teach myself. Then that way I can hear the beautiful sound of the guitar whenever I want." So yeah, I bought it. And yeah, I have been teaching myself, but I've been cheating a little bit too. Instead of actually learning to read guitar music... I have been learning guitar tabs off of the internet!!! lol Sorry to all of you real guitarist and musicians out there. Oh yeah, youtube has been a lot of help too!!! lol It's only been a little over three weeks and I have already learned "Bubbly" by Colbie Caillat, the most part of "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer, and the intro to "Cater 2 U" by Destiny's child. I really wish I could show all of you people out there my quick progress!!! lol John Mayer better watch out!!! lol jk I am just so proud of myself.~Keenan Thanks for listening.

Well, I always think that is great to play a guitar singing a soft song in a quiet beautiful villege. So sweet it will be. Usually I imagine that I am indulging myself in that kind of atmosphere- soft music, soft guitar, fresh air, lively children, etc. Beautiful! I don't know how to play guitar, but I do admire guitar player. So, I somewhat envy you. It is not available for me to experience that in our city.

$10.00 is a steal for any guitar. The best ting you can do is to get it setup. A great setup will make it easier for you to play. Not having the proper setup causes many people to fail when trying to learn to play the guitar. Keep up the good work.
