Do you need a free .co.cc Domain name?

i checked out your blog and got the offer to get free domain name for life time. its an offer which i feel is too good to be true!! i'm wondering how they are going to keep it for a life time with out charging any cost!!! i made 3 domains there and i'll try to link my blog with that. but i'll need some help to link it with my hosting account, if you can please help me with that. Any way thanks for sharing such a fabulous offer.

Their site is www.co.cc Strange subdomain. I came across it too, and am mulling whether to use it when my paid domain expires. Do note that it is a subdomain, and though it allows for custom DNS, some DNS servers do not allow subdomain redirection. So in the long run, it is often times much better to go for your own paid domain since those providers normally provide little perks like free calendars, free trials on latest web hosting services, heavily discounted web hosting, etc. There was this .tk thing going around a few years ago. Not sure if they are still available? That one is a redirection service that places horrible pop ups and pulls your Website into an iframe (HTML speak). Also, if the .tk domain you have is not visited to regularly, they'll delete it silently. They force you onto the paid version which does not have these interferences. Probably might be the same with .co.cc, not sure though.

Thanks buddy for sharing this. I was seeking for a free domain provider. I have signed up and my domain name is active now, in few hours. Please share if any more providers are available who are providing free or low cost domain names. One query here. Is this domain will stay for lifetime? or only for one year?
